The training of Internal Troops personnel has been evaluated in relation to the upcoming COP29 event
On November 2, a review was conducted at the “N” military unit of the Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Baku. This assessment focused on the readiness of military personnel for duty, the resolution of supply issues, and the operational status of vehicles designated for maintaining public order and ensuring security during the 29th Session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29). This event will take place in our country under the supervision of the Internal Troops, in collaboration with law enforcement agency personnel.
The heads of the relevant departments, sections and services of the Head Office of the Internal Troops, as well as the commanders of the military units, confirmed that the scheduled preparatory actions for the comprehensive execution of service-combat missions and specified objectives were completed on time during the COP29 event. First of all, the relevant plan-calculation was made and the personnel were distributed according to their service areas. In order to coordinate joint service with police officers, establish mutual relations with event organizers and relevant government agencies, and constantly monitor operational conditions, control center activity was organized at Military Institute of the Internal Troops and checkpoints in military units. The territory and objects to be organized were examined and analyzed in terms of the organization of the service, the relevant command staff was visually familiarized with the service places. Personnel engaged in the execution of service-combat missions were directed to articulate the significance of taking precautions, adhere to the principles of legality, safeguard the rights and freedoms of citizens, and exemplify a responsible attitude in the fulfillment of their responsibilities.
At the same time, it was provided to hold special trainings on the protection of objects entrusted to military personnel to be involved in the service at the preparatory stage and ensuring the regime of release at checkpoints.
Special attention was paid to the special uniforms, comprehensive provision of personnel, fortification subgroups, as well as female military personnel, which will be involved in the conduct of services along the perimeter in order to check the preparations for the COP29 event, the supply of special vehicles and equipment, communications, and the technical condition of vehicles.
It was determined that the timely implementation of the planned preparatory measures for the full implementation of the service tasks set by the relevant decision of the Board of the Ministry of Internal Affairs “On the state of work in the field of public order maintenance and public security on the eve of COP29” was ensured.
